Memorial Service for Dr. NIHAT BILGUTAY with an Open Microphone

Please come and share your memories of our beloved Nihat Bilgutay with us.

Date: Sunday, May 3, 2009

Time: 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Refreshments and soft drinks will be served following the ceremony.

Location: Hill Conference Room (Room 240), 2nd Floor, Lebow College of Engineering Building, 3106 Market Street, Philadelphia (between 31st and 32nd Streets)

Parking: Street parking is available on Market Street and there’s a parking lot across the street on the corner of 31st and Market Streets.
Because the memorial service at Drexel University did not have any speakers from TAFSUS or Turkish Student Association of Drexel University, these 2 organizations decided to have another Memorial Service for Nihat Bilgutay where the board members of TAFSUS and Drexel TSA and Turkish American community members will have a chance to remember him.

There will be an “open mike” throughout this program and all persons who want to remember Nihat with their personal rememberances and anecdotes and cherished memories will be given time to come and speak at the microphone.

This is as close a date as could be chosen by TAFSUS and TSA Drexel to Nihat Bilgutay’s first anniversary date of his death in July. Since so many members of the Turkish Community go to Turkey during the summer months, early May seemed to be the most suitable time for all to have a chance to attend and remember Nihat. We miss him very much. May he rest in peace.
